TODAY I FEEL is a free standing kinetic installation. It's wheels spin freely from one another and give users complete freedom to display their "feelings". Oddly enough, the spinning skewers used to cook gyro meat inspired this piece!
The sculpture is roughly 6'x6'x6' and is made of 15 wheels, each with 30 sections of hand-painted alphabet and punctuation. It is made of plywood, steel, and acrylic
TODAY I FEEL was originally produced for Please Touch, a show at the Akron Art Museum on display March 2nd to July 16th, 2017. The show shook off all of the traditional museum-goer behavior and asks visitors to use their sense of touch to experience the exhibition. Also participating in the exhibition: Jordan Elise and Christopher Lees of Horrible Adorables and Jay Croft.
TODAY I FEEL is now permanently installed at the main campus of the Cleveland Public Library.
